Facts and practical information
Krasne Lake Nature Reserve - a water nature reserve located on the Charzykowska Plain, in the area of the Przechlewo commune, Człuchów County, Pomeranian Voivodeship. The area of the reserve is 42,62 ha and includes the Krasno Lobel Lake of the surface of 29,43 ha and the surrounding peatbogs and forests. In order to protect the reserve against external threats, a buffer zone of 55.50 ha was established.
The reserve was established by order of the Minister of Forestry and Wood Industry dated November 10, 1976. Initially it covered 28.00 ha and included the lake itself. It was enlarged by Regulation No 25/2011 of the Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Gdańsk of 28 September 2011.
The purpose of protection in the reserve, according to the current legal act, is "preservation of the lobelia lake and adjacent peat bogs and swamp forests, together with their characteristic biocenoses and populations of valuable plant and animal species".
There are habitats of protected water elms, lake loblolly, lake lobelia, single-flowered liverwort, coneflower, marsh marsh marigold, common larch, and bog cranberry.
The fauna is represented among others by dragonflies, lizards, frogs, newts, cranes, herons and goldeneyes.
The lake is managed by the National Agricultural Support Center. The rest of the area is managed by Niedźwiady Forest Inspectorate. Under the current plan of protection established in 2012, the area of the reserve is under active protection. The reserve is supervised by the Regional Director of Environmental Protection in Gdansk.
The reserve together with its buffer zone lies in the area of community importance "Krasne Lake" PLH220035, and together with it in the Protected Landscape Area of the Tuchola Forest fragments.
The nearest towns are Krasne, Lipczynek and Nowa Wieś.
