Facts and practical information
Jardim do Arco do Cego is a garden located next to Bairro Arco do Cego, in the Saldanha area of Lisbon.
In December 2008, a large sculpture was inaugurated in the garden, in honor of Aristides de Sousa Mendes, by Manuel Carmo, with the presence of the President of the Republic, Cavaco Silva.
Due to its proximity to the campus of the Instituto Superior Técnico, this garden is frequented by university students for beer socials. Residents complain about the degradation of the garden due to accumulated trash, noise, and overcrowding of the space.
