Praia da Riviera

Praia da Riviera is located in the parish of Cabo da Praia, municipality of Praia da Vitória, on the island of Terceira, in the Azores.
This is a sandy beach surrounded by rock still in its wild state. It is still possible to observe in the reed beds of this beach some nesting migratory birds and especially an abundance of Quail that nest there. Initially it had a vast sandy beach that stretched the entire length of its coastline. Together with Praia, they made up a strip of white sand approximately 6 km long.
As a result of changes that over the years the coast of Cabo da Praia has suffered, of the beaches that once existed, only Riviera Beach remains. This pleasant place is immensely requested by vacationers who refresh themselves in its clear and mild waters.
