The San Juan National Historic Site, located in the vibrant city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a testament to the island's rich colonial history. This iconic site is composed of a series of forts, including the famous Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Castillo San Cristóbal, along with the city walls and the Fortín San Juan de la Cruz, which together create a formidable defense system that was crucial during the era of Spanish conquest and colonization.

Castillo San Felipe del Morro, known simply as El Morro, is a 16th-century citadel that towers over the entrance to San Juan Bay.
