Rivals crater is a small volcanic cone adventitious of Piton de la Fournaise, the active volcano of Reunion Island, a French overseas department in the southwestern Indian Ocean. It is located in the heart of the Piton de la Fournaise massif on the slopes of the main cone within the caldera called Enclos Fouqué. Thus, it is part of the national park of Reunion. Formed during a volcanic eruption in 1937, it culminates since then, according to the maps of the National Institute of Geographic and Forestry Information, at 2 243 meters of altitude.
The crater is reached by the Rivals trail from the Bellecombe rampart.
