The fortified evangelical church in Valchid, Sibiu county, Hoghilag commune, was built in the 14th century on the site of a much older Romanesque basilica. The church is on the 2010 list of historical monuments, code LMI SB-II-a-A-12577, with the following objectives: code LMI SB-II-a-A-12577.01 - Evangelical fortified church, 13th century, 1480 - 1495, sec. XIV,1441, 1507, înc. sec. 19th century; LMI code SB-II-a-A-12577.02 - Fortified enclosure, with towers, gate tower, fortified secondary entrance, late 19th century. XV - înc. cent. 16TH CENTURY.
