Viștea Mare

Viștea Mare, a towering presence in the Romanian landscape, stands majestically as part of the Făgăraș Mountains, within the Southern Carpathians. Rising to an impressive altitude of 2,527 meters, Viștea Mare is the third highest peak in Romania, surpassed only by Moldoveanu and Negoiu.

This mountain is a beacon for avid hikers and mountaineers, offering challenging trails and breathtaking panoramic views. The climb to the summit is both arduous and rewarding, as the peak is part of a dramatic ridge that includes several other high points in the Făgăraș range.
