Monument to Peter the Great is a bronze sculpture on a granite pedestal located in Voronezh's Petrovsky Square. The monument was inaugurated on August 30, 1860. The sculptor of the monument was A. E. Schwartz, the architects - D. I. Grimm, who also executed the drawing of the monument, and A. A. Cui.
When Voronezh was occupied by German troops during the Great Patriotic War, the sculpture was taken away for remelting. According to the RSFSR government decree it was restored, and January 10, 1956 on the preserved pedestal the monument was reopened. The authors of the restored monument were sculptors N. P. Gavrilov and G. A. Shultz.
