The islands of Samoa are best visited during the dry months from May to October. This is when the weather is most favorable for beachcombing, snorkeling, water sports and hiking.

The dry season, the best time to visit all regions of Samoa. Days full of sunshine are conducive to beachcombing, snorkeling, water sports and trekking.

At the end of May, you can take part in a lavish Independence Day celebration, with traditional dances, opportunities to enjoy local art, cuisine and music.

The end of July marks the start of the Tafesilafa'i Festival, introducing the culture of the islanders.

In September, the highlight is the Teuila Festival with demonstrations of traditional fire dances, long Polynesian boat races and concerts by famous Samoan choirs.

In October and November, diving enthusiasts flock to observe an unusual phenomenon called the Rising of the Palolo. A week after the full moon, thousands of picturesque blue-green "earthworms" crawl out of the nooks and crannies of the coral reef to mate.
