When Is the Best Time To Visit Saudi Arabia?

The answer to the question of what is the best month to visit Saudi Arabia depends on what you are interested in doing during your stay. Here you can see an overview of each month and its typical weather conditions.

Tourist Season in Saudi Arabia

The best time to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is between November and February. From mid-April until October, daytime temperatures regularly reach 40 degrees Celsius, with high humidity on the coast. It is much cooler in the Asir Mountains and around Taif.

In the middle of winter (December-January), temperatures in the main cities (with the exception of Jeddah) drop significantly, in some places they can even approach zero overnight.

Attention should also be paid to the period when Ramadan (a moveable holiday) falls, as travel in the country can be difficult, opening hours are kept to a minimum and eating during the day in public places is impossible. Also, other Islamic holidays (Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr) are times when moving around the country is more troublesome than usual.
