Pogačnikov Dom on Kriškie Podach - a tourist hostel, which lies on the lower edge of the karst plateau Kriški Podi, near three mountain lakes and is the favorite starting point of numerous mountain trips. PD Radovljica began to build them in 1948, and was open on October 7, 1951. He was named after the then Vice President of the Slovenian Mountain Association, Jože Pogačnik, head of the Economic Committee and the originator of the construction of the shelter who died in the accident in Mlinarica, on the way to the opening of the hostel. In 1973, an attachment with sanitary facilities, sinks and laundry was added, and the interior was renovated. In 1983 a cable cable car was brought from Zadnjica, which was renovated in 2001 - 2003. On September 15, 1985, a camping with the Winter Chamber was opened at the upper station next to the shelter. There is a GSM range since 1993. In 2004 the attic was renovated and the roof was replaced.
The hostel operates from July 1 to the last Sunday of September. There are 45 places and a counter in the guest room. There are 37 beds in 5 rooms, in three shared lodging and 22 places. There are still toilet and sink, running water, photovoltaic cells and power generator in the shelter. The space for guests is heated with a stove. There are 20 places in the winter chamber and a stove.
The shelter is managed by PD Radovljica.
