Erjavčeva Koča on Vršič - a tourist hostel, which lies on a smaller hill on the road to Vršič, a bit under the pass on the Upper Local Stron. He bears the name of the Slovenian naturalist and writer Fran Erjavc. The first shelter, built on July 14, 1901 by the German-Austrian Mountain Society as Vosshütte, was given the current name after World War I, it was enlarged and opened on July 30, 1922. The contemporary hostel was built on August 1, 1993. It is managed by PD Jesenice.
