The Church of San Fernando Rey is located in the neighborhood of García Escámez in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
This church is the parish church of the neighbourhoods of García Escámez and Somosierra and is dedicated to the Catholic saint San Fernando Rey. The remains of General Francisco García-Escámez, head of the Economic Command of the Canary Islands at the beginning of the 40's, just after the end of the Civil War are buried in this church. The church has the category of Bien de Interés Cultural de Canarias.
During the month of May the Patron Saint Festivities are celebrated in honor of San Fernando Rey, especially on May 30 with a procession of the image of the saint through the streets of the neighborhood.
