The palace of the Diputación de Palencia is an important modernist building with neoclassical and neo-Renaissance elements and neo-baroque influences, archetype of the modernist constructions of the Palencia of the early twentieth century. It was inaugurated on 19th October 1914. The project was carried out by the Palencia architect Jerónimo Arroyo, this building is perhaps his masterpiece. It is the building that houses the institution of the Provincial Council of Palencia, which manages the government and the autonomous administration of the province.
