The Church of San José, located in the municipality of Breña Baja on the island of La Palma, became from August 2, 1637, the first parish under the patronage of the Saint whose name it takes, there was in the Canary Islands, thanks to the lords who owned estates in the place and the small nucleus of existing neighbors at that time.
