Playa de La Concha, Santander
Facts and practical information
La Concha beach is a small sandy beach in Santander, Cantabria that is located between two other beaches: the first beach of El Sardinero and El Camello beach. Except when the tide is very high, it is almost always a beach that is attached to the beach of El Sardinero. At low tide you can also go from it to El Camello Beach, although the two beaches are separated by a rocky area.
It is a very familiar beach and usually frequented by locals, as it is not as well known as other large beaches of Santander by tourists. On the right side of the beach there is an islet that joins the sandy area at low tide and is a highly recommended place for swimming and diving in the wells that form around it.
