Facts and practical information
The castle of Sitges is documented from the year 1116. Its history is to some extent parallel to that of the Castle of Florejacs as it also passed successively from the domain of the Alemany de Cervelló, lords of Guimerà, at the end of the 13th century, and finally ended up with the Rivera family, whose domain was confiscated by King Philip V at the end of the War of Succession for having declared themselves supporters of Charles of Austria.
