The Archaeological Park of Campo Lameiro is a set of rock art in the open air, located in the municipality of Campo Lameiro, province of Pontevedra. It covers an area of 21.8 hectares and houses about 100 rocks with engravings and petroglyphs of great archaeological and historical value. It is part of the set of rock art of Terras de Pontevedra.
In the mountains of the municipality of Campo Lameiro is located one of the most important concentrations in quality and quantity of rock engravings or petroglyphs not only in the Iberian Peninsula, but also in Europe, and has been declared a Historic Artistic Monument since 1974.
The park was officially opened on July 6, 2011, becoming the first archaeological park in Galicia. It constitutes an extraordinary cultural landscape of which the petroglyphs are the most visible part.
It has a 5,000 square metre interpretation centre with projection rooms, exhibitions and a library. In addition, its facilities also recreate a Bronze Age settlement, an experiential and participatory space.
