Santa Maria d'Eroles
Facts and practical information
The church Santa María de Eroles is a Romanesque building and the parish church of the village of Eroles, in the former municipality of Fígols de Tremp, now part of Tremp, in the Pallars Jussá region in the province of Lérida.
It is an 11th century church with a single nave, covered with a barrel vault, with the chevet facing east by a semicircular apse. Modernly, the direction of the nave was changed and the apse, which originally contained the presbytery, as was usual in the Romanesque period, became the entrance to the church, with the door opening in the middle of the apse.
