Cuchía or Marzán Beach is a golden sandy beach equipped with access ramps for people with disabilities. It has a promenade, showers, telephones, parking with places for people with disabilities and a guard post. It is a beach located on the central coast of Cantabria, on the right bank of the San Martín de la Arena estuary, next to its mouth. It is one kilometre away from the town of Cuchía, in the municipality of Miengo. Access is as follows: R-67m exit 11; S-470; S-471 from the crossroads to the beach 1.8 kilometres.
The beach has a length of 300 meters with an average width of 40 meters. It has a dune system. At the back of the beach there is a vegetated area with brackish lagoons. Near the beach is the Cuchía quarry, a motocross circuit, a cemetery, some bars and a campsite. On the other side of the estuary of San Martín de la Arena is the town of Suances. There is the possibility to swim to the other beach, but it can be dangerous because of the current of the estuary.
