The castle of Chinchón, also called the castle of the Counts, is located south of the town of Chinchón, in the Community of Madrid. It is one of the two fortresses of the municipality, along with the castle of Casasola. Built in the 15th century, it is made up of two overlapping quadrangular bodies, with corners topped by cylindrical towers.
The building is part of the Historic-Artistic Site of Chinchón, according to the declaration of 1974. It is in a good state of preservation, despite the historical vicissitudes, which resulted in several looting and fires. It is privately owned; the property belongs to the Counts of Chinchón.
