Facts and practical information
Döderhultarns ateljé is an artist museum in Oskarshamn.
In the early 1900s, the house was known as the former sailor Charodotes Pettersson's house at Banan 345, now Garvaregatan. Upstairs in the house, the Döderhultarn, Axel Petersson, had his living quarters and at the same time his studio. The apartment is decorated and furnished as it was when Döderhultarn worked and lived there. He moved there around 1907, and lived there until his death in 1925.
The house became a cultural monument in 1968. The studio museum is run by the Oskarshamn-Döderhult Local History Society and is open to visitors.
