Zoo de Servion
Facts and practical information
Zoo de Servion is a zoological garden in Servion, canton of Vaud, Switzerland, and the largest zoo in western Switzerland.
Here live many large and small predators, especially valuable are the good breeding successes of the Amur tiger and Binturong, a rare Asian creeping cat. Crowd favorites are the monkeys. Servion is home to several species of marmosets that have become very rare in their native South America, such as the Liszt's monkey and the pygmy marmoset. Other attractions include the lush tropical house with its many exotic birds and the large waterfowl enclosure of flamingos and gray pelicans. In addition, the zoo grounds, attractively landscaped with over three hundred trees, house a variety of ungulates, Bennett's kangaroos and tortoises.
