The Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta is a church in the old town of Locarno in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It is also known as the "Chiesa nuova" and, together with the neighboring canons' house, is a protected cultural property of national importance. The baroque church was consecrated in 1636. The church contains one of the most important stucco decorations of the Baroque period in the whole canton.
