Facts About Horsfield's shrew
Horsfield's shrew is a diminutive mammal belonging to the Soricidae family. This tiny creature inhabits multiple countries across Asia, including Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Laos, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
In terms of size, Horsfield's shrew has a head and body length of approximately 6 to 7 cm, with an additional 5 to 6 cm contributed by its tail. Its fur is dusky brown on the dorsal side and dusky gray on the ventral side. A distinguishing feature that sets it apart from the similar pygmy shrew is its larger size and its blackish feet.
