Xiao you keng, New Taipei City
Facts and practical information
Xiao Yaokeng is a volcanic vent located in Yangmingshan National Park in northern Taiwan. It is located at the northwest foot of Mount Qixing, at an elevation of about 805 meters, and is also one of the hiking entrances of Mount Qixing.
Small oil craters are notched volcanic terrain with vents that emit sulfur and steam throughout the year, and the temperature is quite high. The reason for this is that after the termination of volcanic activity, there is still residual heat under the ground, and this residual heat heats up the residual gas under the ground, which increases the pressure of the accumulated vapor under the ground, and finally bursts the ground at certain specific locations, such as near the crater or fault, resulting in a bursting vent, which is the type of crater, and is the terrain formed by post-volcanic action.
