Facts and practical information

The Museum of the City of Geranzas, located in the Anping Fortress area of Anping District, Tainan City, Taiwan, was originally built in 1882 as the Anping Taxation Department Public Hall, and was converted into the Taxation Customs Club and the Tainan History Museum during the Japanese rule in Taiwan. After the Second World War, the building was used as the Anping District Office, but the Anping District Office was moved away when it was included in the Anping Fortress Historic Site. The Museum was opened in May 2009, and includes four exhibition halls: "Reenactment", "The Golden Soup", "Stories of the Official Office", and "Half of the Scales".
