Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Kanchanaburi

The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery is a solemn reminder of the lives lost during the construction of the infamous Death Railway during World War II. Located in the city of Kanchanaburi, Thailand, it is the final resting place for nearly 7,000 prisoners of war (POWs) who perished while building the Thailand-Burma Railway under the harsh conditions imposed by the Japanese army.
