How much do you have to spend on groceries per day in Thailand?
When shopping for groceries in local stores and markets, the average daily cost of food expenses will range from 153 THB (4.01 EUR) to 252 THB (6.59 EUR) when buying the cheapest products. However, if you choose slightly more expensive products, you can expect to pay from 243 THB (6.37 EUR) to 511 THB (13.39 EUR) per day. These figures are based on daily meals consisting of approximately 2200-2400 kcal and may vary slightly depending on the city.

Prices for a kilo of these products range from 46.91 THB (1.23 EUR) for a kilo of onions to 307 THB (8.03 EUR) for a kilo of beef. The price of white rice is 46.74 THB (1.22 EUR) per kilo, while a loaf of fresh white bread costs 43.86 THB (1.15 EUR) per half kilo. Bananas cost 57.82 THB (1.51 EUR) per kilo, while apples cost 114 THB (2.98 EUR) per kilo.
Water, available in 1.5-liter bottles, costs 16.88 THB (0.44 EUR). Dairy prices in Thailand, on the other hand, are as follows: 1 liter of milk costs about 60.19 THB (1.58 EUR), and 1 kilogram of locally produced cheese is an expense of 599 THB (15.67 EUR).
