The best time to visit East Timor is the dry season from May to October. During this period, temperatures are most pleasant and rainfall is not too troublesome.
The months of the rainy season (December to April) bring increased rainfall and complicate travel somewhat. The rains cause flooding and landslides, and some roads become impassable.
