When Is the Best Time To Visit Tonga?

Tourist Season in Tonga
The best time to visit the islands of Tonga is the dry season from May to October. It is warm, sunny, and the occasional rains that occur do not complicate your vacation. The prevailing weather then is favorable for beachcombing, snorkeling and enjoying the sea. Not only the weather, but also local festivals and colorful festivals introducing the culture of the locals attract tourists during this period. The rainy season months of November through April are considered the off-season. Due to hot, humid air, increased rainfall and the possibility of cyclones, a visit during this time may be difficult.
