Monastery of the Lord's revelation - an Orthodox monastery in Krzemieniec, belonging to the Ternopil Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The Orthodox male monastery dedicated to the Epiphany in Krzemieniec was funded by the ensign Daniel Maliński and Cześnik Wawrzyniec Drewiński in 1636. The monks dealt with the hospital, school and shelter, and patronized the secular brotherhood of the Lord's revelation. From 1636 or 1638 they ran a printing house that published texts written in Cyrillicians. In the 18th century, the Orthodox monks were forced to leave the monastery, which was taken over by the Jesuits. In 1725 they handed over to the Basilians. They, in turn, left the facilities in the years 1805–1807, when by the decision of Tadeusz Czacki the former monastery building was included in the facilities of the Krzemieniecki High School. However, they were made available to the eighteenth -century building of the Reformed monastery, founded by the voivode of Kiev Stanisław Potocki in 1750. Basilians administered the object to tsarist repression after the November Uprising, when it was taken over by the Russian Orthodox church. However, the reorganization of the Orthodox religious community took place only in 1865, when monks from the monastery of St. John the Military in Zahajce Małe. For four years, the monastery in Krzemieniec was a branch of that monastery, then until 1873 to 1906 it was subject to the monastery of the Holy Trinity in Derman. According to the data from 1892, 6 monks and 25 permitters formed the community. In addition, one of the auxiliary bishops of the Volyn eparchy resided in the monastery. Unlike the communities of many other monastery of the region, the monks from Krzemieniec failed to go to running. According to data from 1936, seven monks stayed in the monastery.
After Poland regained independence, Krzemieniec was within the Borders of the Second Polish Republic, and the monastery was still operating within the Diocese of Volhynia PAKP. He was the residence of the head of the diocese. The monastery complex consisted of four churches, a one -story residential building for monks, a school of boarding schools, one utility facility and a building of the seminary and the missionary committee of the diocese.
After the Krzemieniec occupied by the Red Army in 1944, the monastery was closed and adapted to the sports hall and the hospital. The Orthodox regained facilities in 1990; The monastery has been renovated and is again open as one of the three monasteries of the Ternopil eparchy. It has been a female community since reactivation.
