Zamkova gora, Kremenets

Castle Mountain is a mountain that belongs to the Kremenets Mountains. It adjoins the central part of the Kremenets and rises above it in the form of a volcanic cone up to 100 meters high. The absolute height is about 397 m. m.
It has another name - Bona, in honor of the friend of the Polish King Zsigmont and Boni Sforzi, who owned the castle on the mountain in the XVI century.
The mountain is bordered on three sides by sharp debris, and is connected to the plateau only on the way down by a narrow watercourse. It is composed of Paleogene and Neogene deposits, which are based on a white scribal kreidium of the kreidium system. The mountains are covered with pine forest.
The mountain is located within the boundaries of the National Natural Park "Kremenetski Gory".
From the Bon Mountain there is a wonderful view of the city and the outskirts. In the distance you can see the Pochaivska Lavra.
From it you can well see the mountain of Churcha, which is covered with forest up to the very top. On its eastern side, among the hornbeams and beech trees, there grow single oak trees, birches and ash trees. On the eastern side of the hill grow mid-elevation small trees and pines.
