Facts About The All-Pervading
"The All-Pervading" is an allegorical masterpiece by English artist George Frederic Watts, created between 1887 and 1890. Drawing inspiration from the Sibyls on the Sistine Chapel ceiling, this painting captures the essence that Watts believed governed the vast expanse of existence. In 1899, Watts generously donated the painting to the Tate Gallery. Currently, it is on loan from Tate Britain and can be admired at the Watts Gallery in Compton, Guildford. Additionally, a variant of this painting serves as the altarpiece in the Watts Mortuary Chapel.
