The Engine House, Bridgnorth

The Engine House is an visitor centre near Highley station on the Severn Valley Railway, in Shropshire, England. Opened in March 2008, it houses some of the railway's out of service locomotives, wagons and coaches for visitors to explore. In addition to the equipment listed below, exhibits include railway artefacts detailing the history of Britain's railways. The Engine House allows visitors to get up close to marvellous steam engines, including getting aboard the footplate of 7819 Hinton Manor. Amenities include a restaurant, gift shop and picnic area.
