The Centro de Arte La Estancia is a cultural center based in Caracas and Punto Fijo that has among its functions the restoration, promotion and dissemination of Venezuelan historical and artistic heritage. Its purpose is to support social development programs and strengthen the national cultural identity. The Caracas headquarters is located in an old colonial hacienda in the Altamira neighborhood, while the Punto Fijo headquarters is located in a country house in the Cardón community.
In its spaces are held national and international art exhibitions related to photography, design and three-dimensional art, also often take place plays, concerts, seminars, competitions and conferences.
In 2003, after the oil strike of 2002-2003, the museum was taken over by PDVSA, thus changing the name of the museum. The Caracas branch has a garden with more than 120 botanical species.
