Facts About Trimeresurus rubeus
Trimeresurus rubeus, commonly referred to as the ruby-eyed green pit viper, is a venomous snake species native to Southeast Asia. Researchers from Bangor University initially discovered this distinctive viper in the Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary, located in eastern Cambodia. In addition to Cambodia, the ruby-eyed green pit viper can also be found in southern Vietnam, notably within Cat Tien National Park and the Langbian Plateau region. As of now, no subspecies of Trimeresurus rubeus have been identified.
