Ton Duc Thang University is a public research university with the main campus in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established on September 24, 1997, Ton Duc Thang University has been one of the top research universities in Vietnam. It is under the management of Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and is named after Tôn Đức Thắng, who was Vice-President of Vietnam from 1960 to 1969 under the presidency of Ho Chi Minh and later became President of Vietnam from 1969 to 1980. The University offers about 40 undergraduate programs, 18 master programs and 25 doctoral programs in variety of areas such as: law, applied science, technology, vocational skills, social sciences, economics, business, foreign languages, arts. Its total enrollment is around 23,500. ()
