Island Spiny-chest Frog

The Alsodes monticola is a frog species belonging to the Alsodidae family, indigenous to southern Chile and potentially western Santa Cruz Province in Argentina. However, its presence in Argentina remains a subject of discussion. Although detailed information about its precise habitat preferences is lacking, these frogs are typically found in areas characterized by tundra landscapes and clusters of Nothofagus forests.
