It is the parish church of the parish Graz-Schmerzhafte Mutter in the deanery Graz-Nord of the city church Graz, and monastery church of the Mission House of the Lazarists Graz, provincialate and study house of the order. Right next to the church is the convent of the Sisters of Mercy Graz.
