Kunsthalle Krems-Stein in Stein an der Donau is an international exhibition hall in Lower Austria, built from 1992 to 1995 according to the plans of architect Adolf Krischanitz in the former tobacco factory of the tobacco company in the district of Stein. From June 2016 to July 2017, the Kunsthalle was temporarily closed as it underwent a 3.5 million euro general renovation and reopened on July 1, 2017. Among other places, the Minoritenkirche served as an alternative location.
The Kunsthalle is part of the Kunstmeile Krems, and in close proximity to the Karikaturmuseum Krems and the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich, to which there is even an underground passage from the Kunsthalle.
