Facts and practical information

The Klamm Pass is located at the northern end of the Gastein Valley; the Gasteiner Ache river breaks down here over a steep step into the Salzach Valley, which is much lower, and then flows into the Salzach River at Lend. The old pass road around the Klammtunnel can still be used, but there is a danger of falling rocks due to the inadequate slope protection.
