Hofpürglhütte
Facts and practical information
The Hofpürglhütte is an alpine club hut of the Linz section of the ÖAV, at 1705 m above sea level south below the Bischofsmütze in the Gosaukamm. Thus, the stately shelter is located in the western part of the Dachstein Mountains high above the valley town of Filzmoos in the province of Salzburg with a wide view. It is a popular destination for hikers and day guests, as well as an important base for mountaineers, who can undertake larger tours in the Gosaukamm and Dachstein mountains from here, as well as for long-distance hikers on the Northern Alpine Trail.
In winter, the surrounding area offers delightful opportunities for ski touring, in which case up to eight people can spend the night in the winter room. Incidentally, the Hofpürglhütte has a bouldering room, an indoor climbing wall and hot water showers. Not far away is a climbing garden.
