The WUK is an alternative cultural center located at Währinger Straße 59 in Vienna's 9th district Alsergrund. Its more than 400 events on 1,000 playing days attract over 80,000 visitors annually, and 200,000 people in total visit and use the WUK each year. With over 12,000 square meters of floor space, it is one of the largest facilities of its kind in Europe. Essentially, the WUK is made up of the WUK Kulturbetrieb, WUK Bildung und Beratung and the WUK socio-cultural center.
