Strandbad Klagenfurt is one of the largest inland lakeside swimming pools in Europe. It was opened in 1924 and has been expanded several times since then. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Wörthersee in the city area of Klagenfurt. Lake Wörth reaches its maximum width of 1.7 km here, in front of the Klagenfurt Bay.
The lido is easily accessible via the A2 freeway and city bus lines. Until 2016, the A1 Beach Volleyball Grand Slam was held there. Since 1998 the swimming competition "Ironman Austria" starts at the lido. The lido, as well as the surrounding smaller pools, are operated by Klagenfurt Stadtwerke.
