Maria Pietersdr Olycan

Frans Hals’ 1638 painting "Portrait of Maria Pietersdochter Olycan" is a masterpiece housed at the São Paulo Museum of Art. It is often paired with the portrait of Maria's husband, Andries van Hoorn. Born in Haarlem in 1607, Maria married Andries in 1638, and together they had children.
