Arquivo Histórico de Porto Alegre Moysés Vellinho is a public archive located in the city of Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is the institution where the documentary heritage of the city is stored, available to the public. It was officially created in 1988, and is linked to the Municipal Secretary of Culture. It received its current name in 1989, by recommendation of the City Council, in honor of writer and historian Moysés Vellinho.
