Rio Water Planet was a water park located in Vargem Grande, a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, capital of the state of the same name.It was created in 1998 by the current owner named Cleilton Menezes. It had a total area of 400,000 m² and was located at the foot of the Pedra Branca Mountains. With more than 40 attractions, the park had very diversified attractions such as water slides, wave pool, slow river, rapids, and a children's complex for children from 2 to 6 years old. It was the largest water park in Latin America. On August 16, 2018, the courts ordered the eviction of the park, which definitively ended its activities on October 4 of the same year.
