Araçá Cemetery is a necropolis in the city of São Paulo, located on Avenida Doutor Arnaldo. Founded on June 4, 1887, it is one of the oldest in the city of São Paulo.
Its current area is 222,000 m², divided between the neighborhoods of Pinheiros and Pacaembu, a noble region in the Consolação district, where the mausoleums of important and traditional families from São Paulo are located.
It has a huge collection of sculptures in its tombs, such as angels, seraphim, marble and bronze cherubs. The cemetery also has the graves of important characters in Brazilian history, and also the mausoleum of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo, where only policemen killed in action are buried.
