The Mindu Municipal Park is an urban park in the city of Manaus, Brazil. It is located in the geographical center of the capital and is one of four conservation units, a showcase of flora, fauna and other elements of the Amazonian ecosystem. With just over 40 hectares, the park is part of the Urban Ecological Corridor of the Igarapé do Mindu, being of fundamental importance in the connectivity between living urban forest fragments.
The goal of the Park is to promote and develop environmental and cultural activities with the purpose of providing moments of community integration, allowing to awaken the surrounding residents and visitors to socio-environmental and cultural issues regarding the appreciation of the park. Among Mindu's attractions are the library - with a collection of approximately 4,000 publications on environmental issues - and the trails.
On the third Sunday of every month the Project "Domingo no Mindu" is held, with the purpose of bringing cultural entertainment and environmental education to the community at large.
